An independent third-party audit completed by Prescient Assurance verifies Mobile reCell’s security posture
INDIANAPOLIS, November 15, 2022 – Mobile reCell, the leading software solution for corporate-owned IT asset recovery, today announced it has successfully completed a Systems and Organization Controls (SOC) 2® examination in accordance with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards for SOC for Service Organizations also known as SSAE 18. The independent third-party audit conducted by Prescient Assurance demonstrates to Mobile reCell’s current and future customers and partners that it manages its data with the highest standard of security and compliance.
SOC 2 is an examination and report of an organization’s internal security controls developed to help companies determine whether third-party service providers can securely manage customer data. A SOC 2 Type 2 report examines a service organization’s internal controls to secure and protect customer data over a duration of time. It is notably one of the most complex security examinations to endure due to its comprehensive and time-consuming process.

Over the course of the past year, Mobile reCell has focused on rebuilding its Recovery Platform, a cloud-based software automating the recovery, repurposing, reselling, and recycling of corporate-owned IT assets, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
